Phil Vincent, D'Ercole, Tragik, Circular Logik, Legion, Cranston - Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Drums, Writing, Production, and all around nice guy!! :-)

In 1997 Phil Vincent released "Rising". A collection of songs he had written and recorded as vehicles to send to other artists such as the Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne, and even Madonna.

After hearing no response from the initial mailings he chose to become the artist himself. Sure, one man bands don't become household names unless your name is Prince or Lenny Kravitz but Phil still wanted to do it his way.

Playing drums at a young age helped his choice to become a prolific songwriter since all the parts could be played by him, never needing to go outside and find someone who has a kit, which was ALWAYS the hardest thing to find!!! Using the Beatles and Paul McCartney as his influences, he set out to become what Kiss had originally strived to be.... a "Hard Rock Beatles". Incorporating melody, hooks, power and bombast into cohesive, intelligent songs that could stand the test of time.

As Phil's releases increased so did his production skills, earning praises from audio engineers for his strategic use of analog equipment but it wasn't long before the digital domain beckoned and this is where Phil Vincent found his niche`. Analog offered 12 tracks, digital? 64!!!!! Now the lush backing vocals were a reality. The 3 part harmonized guitar solos, just like Mr. May, the huge bottom end Producer Extrodinaire David Prater found on his Dream Theater and Firehouse productions, the endless array of sounds Phil could use were all at his fingertips....and now the time was ripe!!!

In 2005 Phil met David Zychek (Airborne, Nightranger) and another writing partnership was born. Together, they've written over 20 songs that were released on various Phil Vincent releases. David also played guitar solos on over a dozen Phil Vincent tunes. It wasn't until 2012 that Zychek and Vincent decided to record their songs together. David wanted to use his drummer for the sessions but prior commitments made this impossible. Enter David Prater, producer extrodinaire from Dream Theater and Firehouse fame. He was also a drummer in Santana at one point. Now the trio was complete. They would call themselves ZVP......yes, very creative!!! :-). In 2014, 6 songs were finished except for guitar solos. Then tragedy hit. Zychek became ill and never recovered. He passed in 2016. Phil decided to finish the songs because that's what David would have wanted. He was so excited to have the world hear his new creations. Phil carried this vision through by asking his Legion guitarist Vince O'Regan to record solos for the 6 songs. Completed in 2017, ZVP stands as the last recorded output for David Zychek and what an output it was. Not only was David a great guitarist and songwriter but he was also a great person. Phil says "Someone who I was blessed to meet. We shared some truly great moments together and I will never forget him." Here's to you Z Man. :-)

Countless solo Cds, band releases by Tragik, Circular Logik, D'Ercole, ZVP, and Legion proved this was no one hit wonder. Now he's formed another band with legendary artist Paul Sabu called CRANSTON. They have 2 albums released to date, CRANSTON, and CRANSTON II. Get ready , because you've never heard anything like this!!!

Phil Vincent was here to stay and if you've heard any of Phil's music you'll know one thing that's obviously clear....honesty!!!! He writes from the heart, and every note, every word, every sound....comes from his soul. Sit back and enjoy the many talents of Phil Vincent. Enjoy them for what they are....pure talent, unfiltered by trends and guided by the love of making music. This is rock and roll.
